Trained staff
Pali Adventures believes that a well-trained, fun-loving, warm and caring staff is critical for the successful summer camp for each child.
Each summer, all of Pali’s staff are required to attend our 14-day staff training orientation period (industry standard is 8-days).
Our intensive training and development program, includes American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, group case studies, conflict resolution classes, child psychology seminars and interactive programs to add to their ability to lead, supervise and relate to campers of all ages.
Specialty program leaders and staff are also selected for their extraordinary degree of expertise – from national certifications, to years of hands on experience, impeccable references and so much more. Their excellence and professionalism ensures the highest quality experience and the most powerful learning environment for Pali’s specialty campers.
Pali Adventures infirmary is staffed by 2 Registered Nurses. We also have a doctor on-call 24/7 should the need arise. Our infirmary is spacious, and comes equipped with a treatment area and isolation rooms. The infirmary is heated and air conditioned for the comfort of our campers.
Emergency medical service is located less than 4 miles from the camp and we are 8 miles from Mountains Community Hospital. Loma Linda, one of the countries finest children’s hospitals is 30 minutes away where a wide variety of specialists are available.
- The Infirmary is open 24 hours a day.
- All medications are stored in the health center. If your child requires daily medications they are distributed and by one of our registered nurses.
COMMUNICATION with the parent’s is a primary function of our nurses. Parents are notified by a member of the medical staff if:
- Their child spends the night (or 8 hours) in the infirmary
- Visits a local doctor
