What Is Military Appreciation Month?

Craig Emerson | Pali Mountain

In 1999, Congress designated May as National Military Appreciation Month.  The designation ensures the nation is given the opportunity to publicly demonstrate their appreciation for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members — past and present.

It gives us time to not only give thanks for those who have contributed to the U.S. Military, but to reflect on the major role the Armed Forces have played in the growth of our country.

Many locations also recognize Military Appreciation Day. A time to honor your local active duty and veteran community, with a party or picnic.  Businesses also typically offer discounts, as well free admission into events.

Pali Adventures salutes and honors the members of the Military with a standing offer of 15% OFF* to all military families. We wish you a Happy Military Appreciation Month and thank you for your service!
