May 16 is National Love a Tree Day; trees are celebrated and recognized for the wonderful gift that they provide to us.
Most species of trees have long lives. There are actually some trees that live to be several thousand years old.
Trees provide more than just beautiful landscapes and a shady canopy on a sunny day. They play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate as well as provide oxygen. Large quantities of carbon are stored in their tissue and trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Art In Nature:
Students delve into their creative side while exploring the art potential within our forest! They make their own paint, binding and designs solely out of natural materials. Students finish by creating artwork based on the work of British nature artist, Andy Goldsworthy.
