While some camp websites show detailed photos of camp accommodations, many parents still express concern about the lodging options when sending their kids off to summer camp. One of the best ways to quell any fear or anxiety that you may have about camp accommodations is to take a tour of the camp ahead of time. Tours can help to paint a more complete and vivid picture of cabin life so that you can more easily imagine your child at camp!
Remember, kids are often less picky than we think, so while cabins may not compare with five-star hotels or comfy home beds, campers will still have a blast. Pali’ Adventures’ camp cabins feature modern conveniences like full bathrooms, radiant floor heating, and have a mountain rustic charm.
At Pali Adventures, summer camp cabins sleep ten campers with two counselors. This means that your child will leave camp with at least 9 new friends and lots of amazing memories! Each cabin is a permanent wood structure, most with bunks divided into two or three rooms. Twelve of our summer camp cabins are brand new cottage-style cabin.
Cabins are assigned based on age and gender with campers 12 and under having their own lodging areas, separate from those 13+. Cabin groups will include campers that are within 1 or 2 years of each other in age, to ensure that campers are really able to connect with other children. Campers who are staying for two weeks or longer will stay with other campers who have opted to stay the same duration, to minimize the need to switch cabins during their stay or to have to get acquainted with new cabin mates each week.
All of the beds at Pali Adventures are built-in bunk beds and campers can request to bunk with up to two friends. Campers can bring their own pillows and sleeping bag, or sheets to fit our twin-sized summer camp mattresses. You can also opt to buy a bedding package at the Pali Adventures camp store rather than try to pack it in your suitcase. This is especially helpful for campers coming from out of state or out of the country.
Private bathrooms and shower facilities are located within all summer camp cabins at Pali Adventures. Each cabin includes two to three full bathrooms so that campers can use the facilities with comfort and privacy.
Bathrooms and camp cabins are serviced daily by our skilled housekeeping staff. In addition, all cabins and facilities undergo a weekly deep cleaning. Pali Adventures is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), which requires a thorough review of the camp, verifying that camp conditions comply with over 250 standards for health, safety, and program quality. This means that you can rest assured that your child will be happy and healthy while staying in Pali Adventures camp cabins.
Pali Adventures is unique in that each summer camp cabin is equipped with radiant floor heating. Radiant floor heating doesn’t require air vents or ducts, keeps dust, dirt, germs, and dander from circulating through the air, therefore keeping the air cleaner and safer for campers.
When your child is surrounded by new best friends and exciting summertime adventures, camp cabins become just a small piece of what makes camp so memorable. Pali Camp structures your child’s day with meals, electives, specialties, evening games and other team-building activities – which means campers spend most of their day outside. With that being said, when your child is ready to rest, they will be housed comfortably in Pali’s state-of-the-art cabins and facilities providing a comfortable experience at their camp away from home.
