Camp just got bigger.
Big things are coming to Pali this summer! New Specialties, refreshed Electives, new Session Themes, a new Camp Director, and more Mini Camp dates.
Weekly Themes
7-day themes are getting a huge upgrade.
We’re taking our weekly themes to the next level. For every 6-night, 7-day session, the theme won’t just be a backdrop – campers will be entirely immersed in it. Decorations transform camp, counselors dress the part, and special activities are woven through the whole week.
Every Sunday to Saturday brings scavenger hunts, puzzle-driven missions, obstacle courses, tournaments, and dress-up experiences unique to that week – letting campers become part of the story. It all builds to a high-energy celebration at week’s end, complete with costumes, music, dancing, and plenty of Pali magic.

Electives
A 2027 Electives refresh.
You suggested it, and we listened. After reviewing feedback from campers and parents, we’re giving our Electives program a fresh look for summer 2027.
Campers will now choose their daily Electives in-cabin each morning, with an auto priority list – so if an Elective is full, they’re first in line to grab it the next time it opens up. Our most popular Electives are also getting bigger capacity, so more campers get to discover something new, dig deeper into what they already love, and make the absolute most of their summer at Pali.
New Specialty
A brand-new Specialty is coming to Pali.
Cast, catch, and reel in an exciting new adventure with Hooked On Fishing. Campers will spend the week exploring beautiful mountain lakes and streams, learning a variety of fishing techniques, and experiencing the thrill of the catch at a different off-site location every day.
And here’s the grand finale: an exclusive charter fishing experience on Big Bear Lake, where campers put everything they’ve learned to the test on a 3-hour pontoon boat ride. It’s an action-packed week of adventure, outdoor exploration, and unforgettable moments campers can only find at Pali.

Meet the man leading Pali to our next adventure.
We’re thrilled to introduce our Camp Director and General Manager, Ian “Gunner” Brassett. Bringing nearly four decades of camp experience, Gunner has spent his career leading camps across the country – and his Pali story actually began 10 years ago, when he joined as a Head Counselor and worked his way up to Camp Director.
Gunner’s mission for 2027 is simple: raise the bar. Every decision, every detail, every department comes back to one question – what’s best for the camper? He’s passionate about camp’s power to help kids navigate new experiences, connect with all kinds of people, and build friendships that last a lifetime, a passion that also drives his work as a volunteer Standards Visitor for the American Camp Association.

Staying for more than one week at Pali just got even better. Multi-week campers will head off the mountain for adventures at some of Southern California’s most iconic theme parks, including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Universal Studios.
Trips rotate throughout the summer, so every additional week can bring a brand-new adventure beyond camp.
Mini Camp
Mini Camp is getting BIGGER.
Mini Camp is growing for Summer 2027! Our 4-day, 3-night program will now have its own dedicated Director and staff, plus it will be available during all 9 summer sessions. That means more dates to choose from and more flexibility when planning your camper’s summer.
With more sessions available, campers can start their Pali journey during the week that works best for your family and choose the weekly theme they’re most excited about.
